Buy a new home or older home

Most of buyer clients always ask me, will you buy a new home or older home. My answer is always : it depends.

1 older homes have lots of personality. It has beautiful matured trees and landscaping. New homes normally do not have much trees.

2. Older homes might need more money to keep up. Water heater lasts about7-10 years. And it cost around 800-2000 to replace it.
Air conditioning might be close to the end of the useful life. And it is a lot of money to replace it. The other factor is the window. Some old windows are not energy efficient. You can see major price difference in utilities bill.

3. Some of the older homes have great craftsmanship in woodwork. It is great art to enjoy it. I saw a older home has great tile work in the bathrooms. Even after 30 years, it is still in great shape.

The key is to think of what do you like most before you move forward.

Battle of Camden , South Carolina

Historical Camden is a beautiful, peaceful place in South Carolina. It has the annual Revolutionary War Reenactman every November. we are big history fan. And this annual event is a must event for our family. We brought Boy Scouts Pack 15 to join the show this year.

The battle they performed is the battle of hobkirk's hill tactics.

The children learn so much about the history. They learn how people lived in 1781. There was no eletricity. People used candle to get light at night. They did not have gas to cook. All they had were wood to get fire and cook.

They smoked fish close to the fire pit in those days. Can you guess how long this will take? it is normally around 5 hours.

We are looking for homes for a client. We found a beautiful home. The house has many upgrades. It has customized curtain, hardwood, wood molding around the whole house. It is a stunning home. We do not know why such a beautiful home would go foreclosure. But deep in my heart, I had the question.

After we checked With the neighbor. They told us the former owner committed suicide inside the house, right after Christmas.

Korean Festival 2011 Columbia, SC

Korean Church normally has their festival in October. They provide all kinds of performances, games and delicious food. All the proceeds from the food selling go to charity. My Korean friend invites me to come to the festival.

We saw some pretty Korean traditional dress. The performances are very nice. They have dances, taekwondo and singing. One of the line dances attracts lots of the people dance with them.

Korean food is always great to taste. Some families bring the home made Kim chi to sell. You can sell all the traditional Korean food. I bought a bowl of Korean noodle soup. I had not eaten all day and the food is so delicious.

Once the sun is down, I start to fell cold.

The Hyundai car dealer bring the most luxury model Equus . The price tag is $65,000. My boss said that is the most expensive model for Huydai and it feels like Royce Royce.

Pick up the old blogger

After 3 years, I finally found this old blog. IT has not be touched in the last three years and I almost forgot about it.

I tried different place for blog and I realized none of the other is as good as this one.
